General Minutes October 14, 2014

Minutes for Thursday, October 9, 2014 – DNA General Meeting

Meeting was called to order by Gary Grooms, President, at 7:04 PM.

• A motion was made to approve the September minutes, was seconded, and approved.

• An announcement was made that the treasurer’s report was available on the DNA website. Current balance is approximately $10,000.

• The upcoming election of new officers was explained. Terry Rimer, who will oversee the 2015 elections, explained the bylaws and active versus associate membership.

• The election committee of Mark Ferrulo, John Mason, and Terry Rimer was elected unanimously.

• The DNA Choice Awards were announced for February 24, 2015, to be held at the St. Petersburg Yacht Club.

• The next general meeting was announced for January 8, 2015. The program will feature the developer for the Tropicana block.

• Presentations were made by Barbara Haselden (No Tax for Tracks) and Jeff Danner (Yes for Greenlight), followed by a question and answer period with questions provided by the audience through written statements. Closing statements were given by both guests.

• The meeting was adjourned at 8:11 PM.

A Directors meeting immediately followed the general meeting. In attendance were Gary Grooms, President; Joe Pugliano, Treasurer; and Directors Gina Driscoll, Dan Saginario, Terry Rimer, Paul Carder, Al Scafati, John Mason, Dan Harvey, Mark Ferrulo, and Robin O’Dell.

After discussion, a motion was made to elect Marshall Seiden to the Board of Directors. This was seconded and passed. It was requested that all Directors interested in continued service, submit bios for elections, and that present Directors continue to look for and recruit desirable new people for the board.

A motion was made to endorse Greenlight Pinellas and seconded. After discussion, it was passed unanimously. A subsequent motion was made to make a $250 contribution to Greenlight Pinellas, which also passed unanimously.

The meeting adjourned at 8:30 PM.
