The annual meeting of the Downtown Neighborhood Association was held at 7 PM on Thursday, January 12, at the Sunshine Center, 330 5th Street North.
Board members present were: Peter Belmont, Lottie Belovitz, Tim Brown, Tim Clemmons, Gary Grooms, Marlys Meckler, Marilyn Olsen and Bill Stokes.
Board members absent were: Timothy J. Baker, Joe Pugliano and William Walsh.
By a unanimous vote, the most recent minutes and treasurer’s reports were approved as posteed on the assocation web site, www.stpetedna.org.
The election for the Board of Directors for 2012 was held, with all 12 nominees elected unanimously. None of the positions was contested. The members are: Peter Belmont, Lottie Belovitz, Tim Brown, Tim Clemmons, Gary Grooms, Marlys Meckler, Marilyn Olsen, Bill Stokes, Timothy Baker, Paul Carder, Joe Pugliano and William Walsh.
Guest Speakers were:
Timothy Ramsberger, vice president and general manager, Honda Grand Prix of St. Petersburg. He said that the
setup and breakdown times for the event will be less than in the past, also some new events will be included.
Bob Lasher, Manger of Community Relations, Pinellas Suncaoast Transportatin Authorit, gave an update on the final phase of study of The Pinellas Alternatives Analysis, which is, also cover by The Tampa Times today 01/17/2012 on page one.
Following the annual meeting, the new board met to elect officers. Elected were Marilyn Olsen, president; Lottie Belovitz, treasurer, and Tim Brown, secretary.
